Each week there will be a different theme which is perfect for kids aged 5 years and under.

Move, Groove & Sporty Skills 🏃🕺🧗🧘‍♀️💃🏌️‍♂️🏄‍♀️🏊‍♀️

School is back and so is Play on Wednesday! Join us on Wednesdays during school term at the children’s play area. This week we’re going to move, groove and get sporty  and get those little bodies moving. We’ll explore fundamental skills such as throwing and catching, hopping, skipping and jumping and of course dancing as well as lots of other fun sporty activities.

Our Favourite Sports to Play 👟🏀🏈⚽⛳🤿⛸️🎾

Calling all Sports Fans! We’ll look at lots of different Sports today. Which is your favourite? Do you like Golf, Surfing, Ballet, Horse-Riding, Netball, Soccer, Hockey or Ten Pin Bowling? Whichever sport it is that you love, come and have some fun sharing and learning all about sports this week. We’ll be crafting various sporty balls at the craft table.

Pets 🐒🐈🐕🐊🐠🐴

We’ll be celebrating our pets today. Bring in a photo of your pet or your favourite story to share about your pet and join us at the children’s play area as we sing, read, craft and enjoy educational activities all based around our favourite little friends.

Animals of the World 🦒🦝🐼🦓🦍🦌🦛

Whether it’s a jungle safari or an adventure across an Africa plain looking for giraffes, we’ll be having fun exploring all of the wild and exotic animals of the world today. Keep an eye out for an elephant and don’t get caught up with the cheeky monkeys but make sure you bring your buddies along for a fun filled hour of exciting animal adventures.

Under The Sea 🐠🪸🐚🦀🐙

Bring your goggles and snorkels this week as we dive deep under the surface and explore what’s in our sea! Keep your eye out for whales and dolphins and you may even find a star fish. Bring your nautical explorers hats today as we have fun through music, song, play, story and craft to learn about our deep blue sea.

Spring is on It’s Way! 🌺🌼🌻🏵️

As the weather warms up, so does Play on Wednesday as we burst into Spring over the next week. We’ll be celebrating sunshine, blooming flowers, new life and all that comes with Spring. Enjoy a flowery craft activity this week, musical activities and smiles with friends! A free educational, engaging and entertaining program for under school aged children and their carers, 10-11am each Wednesday – no bookings required.

Celebrating Fathers and Male Role Models 💙🩵

A heartfelt and fun Father’s Day session this week to celebrate all of the wonderful Fathers and Male Role Models that are special in our childrens’ lives. Through song, story, craft and activities we will connect with all of the many things that make our Fathers so special and the things that our children love about them the most. The children will craft a special gift and card to take home for Father’s Day.

My Amazing Human Body 👂🤚🩻

Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes……. but let’s not forget about Eyes, Ears, Mouth and Noses! It’s all about our amazing bodies this week. Through songs, story, craft and games, the kids will learn about different bones, parts of their bodies and engage with their senses through hands on activities, including smelling different herbs, tasting them if they like, listening to various sounds and touching different textures. They’ll also have an opportunity to feel happiness and joy throughout as they have a whole load of fun exploring how amazing our human bodies really are!

Have fun this week exploring what goes on in a city on the coast. What types of houses do we live in? What do we do for fun? Are there parks or beaches to play at and what types of shops and transport do we find there? Through music, story, craft and play come and enjoy learning all about the city that you live in.

We explored city coastal living last week and this week we’re off to the country for some wholesome country fun! We’ll be discovering what it’s like to live in a country town this week from learning about where our food is grown and produced, what transport is used on the farm and what children do for fun in the country.
